Cleaning of technical ceramic parts with aluminium oxide base

Technical ceramic parts are compatible with use of a highly alkaline detergent, a definite plus in guaranteeing complete removal of manufacturing residue.

The resulting hydroxy layer is difficult to rinse with water because of the porous surface (see photo).

Rather, the cleaning process should include an acid finishing stage which neutralises the part and makes the rinsing process easier.

The following range is used without the substrate being attacked, in order to eliminate impurities such as residue of abrasive, mineral oils, fingerprints and dust prior to control checking and PVD coating. 


If colouring residues are present, the traditional transition to acetone should ideally be replaced with a bath of Allstrip, a non-flammable product free of PVC, from the range shown below:
