Whether on leaving the factory or during after-sales service, the cleaning of corrosion-sensitive components of timepieces is frequently carried out using solvents.
The automatic cleaning equipment most commonly found in the industry does not comply with safety rules when the products used in the rinsing process are flammable (such as isopropyl alcohol or benzine).
In its search for solutions that respect both people and the environment, NGL has developed a cleaning solvent that removes grease, oil and residue from abrasives and also deoxidises the parts; this product is Rubifin N°10, the advantages of which in relation to traditionally used products (Rubifin N°1 and Rubisol) are clearly shown in the following table:

With a flash point of 34 degrees, Rubifin N°3 is considered a flammable product. The above procedure must be used in a washing installation hat guarantees conditions of safe use with an ATEX certification, such as the Horiane XS solvent washing machine developed and produced by Patric Concept SA, based in Colombier (NE).
