What cleaning products are used before passivation?
Our RODACLEAN 2018 liquid detergent removes soluble oils and polishing pastes from 304 or 316L stainless steel using ultrasonic cleaning.
GALVEX 20.01 completes the cleaning process and prepares the surface for the passivation of surgical instruments (forceps, scalpels, etc.) as well as implants.
Why does DECOMET comply with ISO standards?
In the luxury goods sector (stainless steel for leathergoods hardware), passivation with our DECOMET agent enables components to meet climatecorrosion resistance requirements, including saltspray testing according to ISO 9227.
In the medical field, DECOMET has been validated in accordance with ASTM A967/A967M for the passivation of stainlesssteel components. Both the American standard and its equivalent ISO 16048 ensure compliance with the surface inspection and corrosionresistance criteria required for medical devices.
