As part of our efforts to reduce the environmental impact of our products, particularly their packaging, we recently developed and qualified a new packaging format for transport, incorporating 50% recycled plastic. We also offer a 200 L plastic drum jerrycan 75% recycled plastic.
The data has been provided by the packaging manufacturers and covers the so-called “cradle-to-gate” life cycle.

REDUCING OUR CARBON FOOTPRINT

✅ 10 L jerrycan vs. 25 L jerrycan: 15.4% lower emissions
✅ 200 L drum vs. 25 L jerrycan: 67.5% lower emissions

OTHER ENVIRONMENTAL BENEFITS
The new 10 L container is made with 50% recycled plastic, helping to reduce our reliance on virgin fossil resources derived from petroleum and to contribute to a circular economy by repurposing materials that have already completed one life cycle.

IMPROVED ERGONOMICS AND SAFETY

Beyond its environmental benefits, the 10L format offers a significant operational advantage. A 25 L jerrycan can weigh 25 kg or more, depending on the product density, which exceeds recommended guidelines for manual handling.
Using the 10 L jerrycan helps to:

  • reduce the risk of musculoskeletal disorders
  • limit the risk of accidents associated with handling heavy loads
  • improve working conditions for operators

The smaller format also makes handling easier, including transport and pouring, which can help reduce the risk of spills and product loss.

For transport and storage, a full pallet still contains 600 L, with the same dimensions and footprint on trucks, whether using 25 L or 10 L jerrycans.
